Covington Who's Who Selects Glenda Evans as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

The selection recognizes Glenda Evans' commitment to excellence in Higher Education.
Glenda Evans began her career at Hampton University in 1996 working in their Business Office. Since that time, she has worked in the private sector as well as local, state, and federal government sectors. She has gone full circle and is now an economics instructor to undergraduate level students at Hampton University. She is also the enrollment management coordinator for their School of Business, ensuring that senior level students are meeting all of the qualifications for graduation and coordinating the graduation process. In addition, Ms. Evans is an adjunct accounting professor at Thomas Nelson Community College and Everest College.
"I credit my family's support, strong mentors, and wonderful colleagues to my success today," Mrs. Evans said about her career in higher education. "Over the years, I have learned that it takes strong leadership and teamwork to accomplish goals."
Inspired to always do good work thanks to her family, Mrs. Evans hopes to be looked upon by her children as a strong example, showing them that with hard work and perseverance you can accomplish anything in life.
Mrs. Evans is beginning the dissertation process for her PhD in Business Administration. She is also working toward her CPA. She hopes to become a tenured professor sometime soon within a local college and be able to invest in the knowledge of future leaders.
Currently, Mrs. Evans holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and a Master's Degree in Accounting from the University of Phoenix. She's an active member of American Accounting Association and State Council of Higher Education for Virginia, and is first vice-president of Hampton Council Parent Teacher Association and assistant district director of the Peninsula District PTA. Recently, Mrs. Evans was published in 'The Journal of Business and Finance Research,' titled 'Issues Regarding Flat Tax Plans: Introducing the Evans' Plan'.
