Weber, who studied mechanical engineering at the University of Missouri and graduated from Eureka High School, spent his career working in a variety of fields, including farming and agriculture, business, sales, and service. He is also a licensed real estate broker with fifty years experience in the industry.
"At each stage of my life I kept a habit of self-reliance and thinking for myself as a responsible youth and scholar," Weber said about his long and successful career.
Currently running for congress at the young age of eighty-eight, listed second on the Democrat ballot in the Primary as "George Boots Weber", 2012 marks the fiftieth year Weber has campaigned for office. He was previously elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 1964 and was a candidate many times since, including democrat nominee in the Second Congressional District in 2004 and 2006.
Drafted in 1944 and selected for the Marine Corps Schools of Japanese Language and Combat Intelligence, Weber served for two years before being honorably discharged in 1946. He is a member of numerous organizations, including the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, International Society of Livestock Appraisers, and American Farm Equipment Appraisers. He has served as board of directors for the Missouri Farm Bureau from 1951-61 where he is still currently active, is past commander for the O'Brien Post 177 for the American Legion, and has served as president for the Eureka Chamber of Commerce from 1960-64.
