The selection recognizes Gene Eggman's commitment to excellence in Manufacturing.
Gene Eggman, who holds a Bachelor of Business degree from the University of Central Arkansas, began his career as an employee representative for Safeway Stores responsible for college recruiting and the staffing of new stores. The company promoted him into increasing levels of human resources soon after, where he spent another eleven years. The next fifteen years Mr. Eggman worked for Tyson Foods supporting Plant HR operation, with promotions into divisional and corporate roles. Prior to Pace Industries he had his own HR consulting business in executive coaching and supported the talent management and recruiting processes for Fortune 500 companies.
Now an executive vice-president since 2011, Mr. Eggman leads the HR function and governmental affairs for Pace Industries, a company that is known as North America's largest customer aluminum die caster, which offers comprehensive die casting services in magnesium and zinc.
"I have been lucky to have the right mentors that modeled treating associates fairly," Mr. Eggman said about his career. "They treated others how they would like to be treated by always doing the right thing. Reading the Bible daily has strongly impacted me on how I have lived my life at work, at home, and in the community."
In addition to Mr. Eggman's expertise in HR and governmental affairs of retailing and manufacturing, he is also experienced in organizational development and succession planning, recruitment, training, benefits oversight and wellness management, labor contract negotiations, and mergers/acquisitions.
Mr. Eggman's biggest passion is in being an "influencer". He enjoys career counseling and investing his time in others so that they can meet their aspirations and become the most valuable asset to their organization.
A member of North American Dye Casting Association and Society of Human Resource Management, Mr. Eggman has been a government employer representative for the Department of Labor and a council member for HR Leadership. One of his biggest professional accomplishments thus far includes having helped develop and implement a company-wide associate care program for a Fortune 100 company, which has continued to grow and touch employees and their families for over ten years now.
