Covington Who's Who Selects Fanette L. Steele-Stewart as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

Steele-Stewart, Retired Senior Legislative Assistant for Washington State House of Representatives, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Fanette L. Steele-Stewart's commitment to excellence in Government arenas.
Steele-Stewart, who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education/English from the University of Sioux Falls, recently worked for the Washington State House of Representatives in various capacities, from supervisory, to consulting and administration before retiring. Her experience there spanned over thirty-two years.
With a wealth of knowledge and expertise in her field, Steele-Stewart always strived to make improvements and to promote community and individual involvement, both in and outside of the workplace.
"It is crucial for those with expertise to share so we can build on that expertise," Steele-Stewart noted, "and that we promote and encourage the involvement of others."
Having always been inspired by her five children as a single mother, Steele-Stewart placed great importance on personal growth, equal opportunity, and the worth of individuals in her professional life.
Currently the senior vice-president of one local Ladies Auxiliary and one district Ladies Auxiliary group, Steele-Stewart also serves as the chair for the Spokane Veterans Home for the Washington State Department of Ladies Auxiliaries. She has received numerous awards and honors over the years as well, including two Volunteer of the Year Awards in 2012, one from the Department of Washington State's VFW/Ladies Auxiliary, and the other as the National Volunteer of the Year. She also received a First Place Award in 2012 from the Department of Washington for her legislative committee work. She is currently working on her first book. In her free time, she enjoys bicycling, writing, and volunteering.
