Covington Who's Who Selects Emily Braem as a Professional of the Year Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

Emily Braem, who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education at Wartburg College, recently began teaching at (specify school) in 2012, immediately after graduation.
Teaching seventh grade students in English/Language Arts and seventh and eighth grade Spanish, Braem is certified to teach K-9 and foreign languages/Spanish K-12. She collaborates with department members to create new curriculum to align with Common Core Standards while juggling both the English/Language Arts and Spanish programs.
Attributing her numerous certifications to aiding her in acquiring a teacher role so quickly, Braem's reading specialty background, opportunity to study abroad, and ability to understand multiple languages have also benefited her greatly.
"I was fortunate to have amazing teachers that taught with passion, enthusiasm, and expertise in the language," Braem said about studying Spanish in college.
Hoping to enroll in grad school within the next five years, Braem would also like to travel to a few Latin-American countries to further her knowledge and expertise of the Spanish language and culture.
Braem is an active member with Kappa Delta Phi and Sigma Delta Phi. She was also an NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete through the National Fastpitch Coaches Association during her college years from 2009-12.
