While working on her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Dr. Ladonna Dahl began providing psychotherapeutic services, beginning in 1997. Upon graduation from the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology program in December 2007, she obtained her license as a clinical psychologist in December 2009 and began working in private practice settingsand for assisted living facilities before opening her own private practice in 2013.
"I have a passion for helping individuals from ages six to 80, helping them through their own personal hurts, hang-ups, and habits, as well as mental health diagnoses, to reach their full potential in recovery," Dr. Dahl said. "The main priority is to help the client to love and accept themselves unconditionally so they can succeed in their therapeutic journey, overcoming obstacles and attaining peace and fulfillment in all areas of their lives."
Dr. Dahl specialized in neuropsychology, provides psychological evaluations, provides individual, couple's, and family therapy via evidence-based, cognitive-behavioral psychotherapeutic services, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or tapping, addiction programs, including the original 12-step program, Faith Based 12-step program, called Celebrate Recovery and Harm Reduction Therapy with a holistic model (including mind, body, and soul), medical, healthy living, food plans, exercise, relaxation/meditation, support systems through 12-step recovery and self-help groups and, upon request, Christian counseling to produce rapid healing. She believes that continuous education and learning more effective skills to help all populations that enter into therapy have both greatly aided in her overall success and she hopes to continue working within a group practice where a psychiatrist, and other psychologists can continue helping those members of her community that need it.
Earning her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at Florida International University in Miami, Florida and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Carlos Albizu University, also in Miami, Florida, in 2007, Dr. Dahl is a member of The National Registry for Professional Clinical Psychologists, Psi Chi, The National Honor Society of Psychology, and American Psychological Association. She also served as president of Psi Chi during her undergraduate studies at Florida International University in Miami, Florida, where she graduated summa cum laude.
