Covington Who's Who Selects Dr. George Beyan Samah as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

- Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) July 16, 2015 - Dr. George Beyan Samah, Program Administrator Officer for WHO has been selected as an Honored Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry.
Teaching elementary education in 1974 after completing his high school evaluation, Dr. George Beyan Samah took teacher training courses prior to pursuing higher education. Now an accountant for WHO, he has spearheaded the preparation of organizational budget, has monitored and evaluated duties for developmental projects, served as budget monitoring officer for the WHO African region, taking lead in advising program directors on budget related activities, and served as the officer responsible for the recruitment of local staff for county offices that Dr. Samah previously served.
"My goal in life has been to do all that it takes to be like others despite the amount of resources at my disposal," Dr. Samah said.
As an international professional, Dr. Samah intends to serve as a consultant to international organizations, although retired from the UN. He also intends to join politics and lecture at universities.
Dr. Samah has previously served as an Assistant Monitoring and Evaluation Manager for a world bank project, as Chief Accountant for an insurance company, as an Auditor, a Controller for the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, as a University Lecturer at various universities, and for many UN agencies, including WFP, UNDP, DPKO, UNEP, CTBTO, and others. He has written a book, called 'Privatization of Parastatal in South Saharan Africa', is an active member of IPA and YMCA, and holds a Bachelor's from the University of Liberia, an MBA and MIBA from American University, and a PhD from Middletown University.
