Covington Who's Who Selects Diana Lynn Parker as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

For nearly two decades, Diana "Lynn" Parker has been working in commercial real estate. As a commercial real estate manager, she is responsible for ensuring that investors within the commercial properties, under her umbrella, receive at the very minimum the anticipated rate of return on their investments with a goal of obtaining a higher rate so as to increase her clients' profitability and value of the property for future investors.
"I genuinely enjoy what I do," Ms. Parker said about working in the commercial real estate industry. "For me it is more than just a job, it is something I live and breathe daily. I have an unending thirst to keep up to date on the market and trends, as well as local, state, and federal legislation, which can significantly impact our market. I am not afraid to step outside the box, which, in my industry, is a rare attribute, generally because we tend to stick with what is tried and true."
Greatly inspired by her daughter Falon and the desire to instill a respected and principled work ethic in her, in addition to the desire to have the ability to provide her with everything she could, Ms. Parker does not let obstacles stand in her way. Currently working on her CCIM designation, she hopes to venture into the acquisition field and then, perhaps, back into tenant rep brokerage with a focus on small shop tenants to help them better understand landlord leases that, far too often, result with them losing their business and/or life savings.
Ms. Parker holds a BA in Business Management with a concentration in Marketing from Queens College and is pursuing her MBA in Real Estate from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is an active member of National Association of Professional Women, Institute of Real Estate Management, International Council for Shopping Centers, and National Association of REIT's. She is also an advocate for civil and human rights, poverty alleviation, and the working poor because no man, woman, child, or veteran should ever go hungry or homeless in this great and rich nation we are so fortunate to call home. Honored with the IREM Candidate of the Year Award in 2001, Ms. Parker has also received numerous awards for her fundraising efforts to support The Wounded Warrior Project.
