Working in a school cafeteria approximately 10 years ago, Denise Morrissey began talking to a GED teacher who happened to also be a real estate broker. Talking to him and gaining some insight into the industry, Ms. Morrissey made the decision to look into it as a possible career move for herself.
Now the owner and broker of Morrissey Realty, Ms. Morrissey walks each client through the entire process of purchasing a new home. She'll take them by the hand, step-by-step if necessary, and serve as the go-between with the brokers, attorneys, home inspectors, and whoever else is involved in the completion of the transaction. When someone wants to sell their home, she will sit with them and go over, in detail, what is selling in the area and for how much, what they need to do to get the house ready, and all the other details necessary in order for her client to get their home sold at the best price.
"I take each client and treat them like they are the only one I'm representing by giving them my undivided attention," Ms. Morrissey said. "I work around their schedule and I make sure to use the criteria for what they are looking for, especially when it comes to price, and I only send those properties that fit."
Ms. Morrissey absolutely loves helping others get into a home that they love; it is such as rewarding experience for her. Hoping to continue serving clients in her surrounding area, she is more than a realtor/broker, she is a helping hand to those that need it. Now the grandparent of two, Ms. Morrissey hopes that they, too, will want to follow in her footsteps and pursue a career in real estate.
