Covington Who's Who Selects Dan Getman as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

- Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) October 11, 2014 - Dan Getman, Development Manager for MANNA, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry.
Dan Getman began his career in non-profit development in 2010 as the Volunteer Manager with Food Bank of South Jersey before moving into event management and then full-time development.
Now the Development Manager for MANNA, a not-for-profit nutrition organization, Mr. Getman oversees fundraising efforts, creates the annual budget for the Development Department, is responsible for their Individual Giving campaigns, including their mailed appeals, monthly giving program, their United Way partnership, and their major gift funders. He also oversees their event team and handles some of the event planning himself. He also works with their Communications Department to ensure consistent branding and marketing.
"Whether it is event planning, budget creation, or our mailed appeals, I take the time to make sure every aspect of what we do is consistent, planned, and explainable," Mr. Getman said about his focus on detail and advance planning. "I believe proper preparation is the biggest key to fundraising success. It allows for us to follow a strategic plan, but also change when necessary to accommodate for unforeseen obstacles to our goals."
The son of a minister father and non-profit executive director mother, Mr. Getman learned as a child the importance of giving back and making a difference in the lives of those less fortunate. Aspiring to become an executive director for a non-profit organization in the future, ideally one that focuses on helping disadvantaged youth, Mr. Getman also plans to further his education in business to be better prepared to lead when that time comes.
Mr. Getman holds a dual BS in Social Science and Secondary Education from the University of Tampa. He was also named South Jersey Volunteer Manager of the Year in 2011 by Gloucester County Volunteer Center.
