Covington Who's Who Selects Cheryl Henson as an Executive of the Year Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

- Salt Lake City-Ogden, UT (1888PressRelease) April 26, 2013 - Cheryl Henson, Officer Supervisor at University of Utah Hospital, has been selected as an Executive of the Year Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry.
Cheryl Henson went to business school right out of high school but has gained a lifetime of education and experience in various different fields, including physical work like roofing and mason work, and even developed her own business doing interior decorating, painting, and wal-tex/wallpaper. But it wasn't until later in life that she had the opportunity to work at the University of Utah Hospital and explore yet another adventure.
Ms. Henson mainly serves as the support services office supervisor, where she maintains confidential records for department personnel, schedules department meetings, is involved in a variety of departmental procedures in addressing sensitive and unusual issues, and is responsible for payroll to approximately two-hundred-thirty employees. But that isn't all she does. She also provides support to accomplish department goals and objective, serves as office supplies control, maintains manuals, serves as hazardous communication coordinator, maintains contracts for all waste that goes out of the Hospital (regular, medical, construction, and recycling, as well as pest control and window cleaning contracts), plus a host of other duties. No two days are the same for Ms. Henson.
"I like working with people," Ms. Henson said about her current position. "Helping them to achieve their goals and advance gives me a satisfaction within myself."
Ms. Henson believes in continued education and takes classes whenever and wherever she can. She plans to continue working for a few more years before retirement and looks forward to the future. Once retired she plans to spend more quality time with her family and travel the great state of Utah, visit with relatives, go 4-wheeling, and work in her yard. She loves to keep busy and plans to do so well into her retirement. She will even consider volunteering with the Hospital once retired.
Having served on numerous committees at the Hospital over the years, Ms. Henson has also earned numerous accolades as well. Some of them include Hospital Employee of the Month, Department Employee of the Month, and a Starfish Award for Quality.
