Catherine Delcin, who earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Florida State University in 2004, started out as a consultant where she discovered many of the hardships that small business owners were facing when in need of affordable legal services. Within just a few years she decided to go back to school and earn her JD at Golden State School of Law. She graduated in 2010.
"I attended law school and subsequently launched my firm to offer affordable services for small business owners and tailored services for life science companies," Catherine explained.
Born in Haiti the poorest country in the western hemisphere, Catherine came to America as a teenager. She quickly learned about the correlation between the national economy and business economics and she was enthused to become a part of the economic business infrastructure in a professional capacity.
Now managing daily operations and workflow, Catherine's main objective is to meet client expectations, advise and support them in strengthening their internal controls, monitoring capabilities, and risk management. She also drafts, reviews, and negotiates new business contracts for services for new and existing clients.
With the ultimate goal to equip and empower people to build sustainable businesses that will support the local economy and, in the long-term, support the national economy, Catherine is excited for the future of entrepreneurship, fulfilling its mandate of societal innovation and ingenuity (a cause she advances in her philanthropy efforts through The Entrepreneurship Movement, a non-profit organization she founded in 2012).
Also a seasoned international speaker, Catherine recently authored her first book, Entrepreneur Initiative, published through Tate Publishing in 2013. She's also been featured in numerous magazine articles and newsletters over the years for her work, and is an active member of Charles Houston Bar Association, Powerful Women International, and E-Women Network.
