Covington Who's Who Selects Brent A. Hirschy as a VIP Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

Hirschy, who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from the University of South Florida and a Master's Degree in Nursing from Saint Joseph College of Maine, began working in his field at the young age of sixteen as a certified nursing assistant in long-term care.
Currently working in post anesthesia care, Hirschy is responsible for the direct care of post-surgical patients that wake up from anesthesia. He is responsible for their safety, pain control, and all basic needs that they may require. He also assesses each patient from head to toe to make sure there are no deficits in their immediate recovery time.
Hirschy has anesthesia care staff educator, medical/surgical, orthopedic, and critical care experience and plans to continue making a difference in the healthcare field for many more years.
"I knew at a young age that I was going to be a nurse," Hirschy said. "I never thought of anything else."
Hoping to complete his graduate students by the end of 2012 and obtain a position as a nurse educator for a local university or nursing school, Hirschy also plans to get involved with Nurses Across the Border to help underprivileged countries with their basic healthcare needs.
A member of International Nurses Honor Society, Hirschy is also the recipient of a Hero Award through Sarasota Memorial Hospital for saving a neighbors life and has been nominated several times for Employee of the Year.
