Although she admits to having no formal training in writing, Mrs. Cooper has authored 8 books to date: 'Through Life's Storms There Is Still Hope And Victory' (Volumes 1, 2, and 3); 'Their Lives Were Unexpectedly Turned Around' (Volumes 1 and 2); 'The Healing Hands Of Jesus'; 'Kelly And The Tin Man'; and 'The Final Call Of The Traveling Soldier'. She also has a background and training in modeling and actressing through John Casablancas, and has participated in numerous television shows and movies and one runway show.
"All of my professional experiences have been gained by doing the various jobs myself," Mrs. Cooper said. "Regarding my books, I just sat down one day and started writing. From that a passion blossomed. My biggest inspirations are my two sons, Rodrick Danielle Jenkins and Derwood Lamont Lynn, my grandmother, Emma Jane McKey, the late Tammy Purvis, and my grandchildren."
Hoping to help others by sharing her story through her books, Mrs. Cooper would love to see one or more of her books become movies. She also hopes to share her acting and modeling training with the youth who may not be able to afford formal lessons, while also serving as a positive role model for them.
Mrs. Cooper has been featured in the New York Times, in the June 2012 issue of More Magazine, and in Down Home Magazine.
