Covington Who's Who Selects Becky Noel as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry
Becky Noel, Crime Free Multi-Housing Program Coordinator and Neighborhood Watch Coordinator with the Tucson Police Department, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Becky Noel's commitment to excellence in Law Enforcement and Public Safety.
- Tucson, AZ (1888PressRelease) October 26, 2013 - Becky Noel, who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas-El Paso, began working for the Tuscon Police Department in November 1996.
Up until January 004, Ms. Noel served in patrol before being made the full-time coordinator for the Crime Free Multi-housing Program. The international program became so successful, thanks to her, that she could no longer do patrol and the program, so Ms. Noel began doing the program exclusively.
In addition to serving as program and neighborhood coordinator, Ms. Noel also teaches personal safety and does a lot of public speaking on the topic. She teaches four classes per year about the Crime Free Multi-Housing Program, which are attended by numerous surrounding towns.
Certified as a crime prevention specialist since January 2005, Ms. Noel has also been serving as executive director of the International Crime Free Association for the last four years.
"I have always had a love for the criminal justice system," Ms. Noel said, who started the academy in November 1996. "I was a volunteer on patrol with the Tucson Police Department for two-and-a-half years before applying for a full-time position and being accepted."
Hoping to continue public speaking and consulting once she retires, Ms. Noel has already received numerous accolades during her tenure with the Department, including two Chief of Police of Excellence Awards, Medal of Merit, Medal of Distinguished Service, and Civilian Officer of the Year Award. She volunteers with Therapeutic Riding of Tucson (TROT) and serves on several boards of women and family organizations.
