Horstkoetter, who founded her tree service company in May of 2009, also owns a sign company under the same name with her husband just one year previously.
As owner of the tree service, she oversees tree removal and the running of the equipment (track hoe, bulldozer, bucket truck, several skid loaders, tractors, and chain saws) as well as handles the invoices, website, graphics, customer service, company newsletters, as well as employee records and paperwork.
"Working together as a team and being fair, honest, and respectable has given us more success than any school or training could have ever provided," Horstkoetter said about her three-year-old company.
Crediting her husband and children as her biggest influence to work hard and always give it her all, Horstkoetter also notes her years of customer service experience and air force training to her work ethic.
Horstkoetter's family owned and operated business has aspirations of expanding into several other states in the near future. She is a current board member of the Erick, Oklahoma City Council and has served in the US Air Force for 6 years.
