Anne D. Johnson, who holds a BS in Computer Science with a minor in Spanish from the Western Oregon University, is Adobe certified and a certified Apple Professional who began her career in 2001 with Stream International in Desktop Publishing.
Now working for the retail giant Macy's, Ms. Johnson supports the store's creative marketing, tracks hardware and software trends, provides customer and technical support, and trains users on new operating systems and software.
"I have always had a desire to teach and work with computers," Ms. Johnson said, who is constantly inspired by her friend who passed away two years ago of ovarian cancer.
Ms. Johnson hopes to continue to lead and grow into a supervisor/manager role, putting customer service into technical support so that people don't feel outsmarted by kids.
