In addition to the food parade with the patriotic streak a special Tiranga cake was cut in the presence of all the guests.
The Independence Brunch featured scrumptious Indian delights coming from all over the country. The assorted blend included specialties like steaming momos from Sikkim, mouth watering Kacche Ghost ki Biryani from Hyderabad, the spicy Kombdi cha Rassa from Maharashtra and the rich and aromatic Kashmiri pulao.
Adding to the fervor were magicians and face-painters who enthralled not only the children but elders alike. What was remarkable to the festivity was the presence of foreign nationals who not only enjoyed the Indian fare, but also participated in the patriotic celebrations with equal zeal and enthusiasm. With freedom stories and patriotic talks coupled with the food and warmth of the guests, this Independence Day at Courtyard by Marriott, Pune Hinjewadi was indeed a special experience to reckon with.
