In less than three weeks the famous ENTER eTourism Conference will finally bring together again the eTourism community from all over the world for an exciting week full of eTourism events.
(1888PressRelease) January 10, 2014 - ENTER 2014, taking place between January 21-24, 2014 in Dublin, Ireland will offer an exciting programme centered around the conference theme 'Where Social Inspiration meets Dynamic eTourism Innovation'. Preparations for the conference are in their final stage with a focus on making ENTER 2014 to one of the biggest highlights for eTourism enthusiasts and practitioners.
After the great success of ENTER's 20th birthday in 2013, the International Federation for Information Technology and Travel and Tourism (IFITT) will host again its well reputed annual conference. ENTER 2014 will take place in the Chartered Accountant House in Dublin, Ireland and stand out with an exciting conference programme with more keynote speakers, panel discussions and research tracks than ever before.
The conference will start on January 21, 2014 with the PhD Workshop, which will be a forum for PhD students to interactively discuss their research with peers, colleagues, leading supervisors and scholars in the eTourism field, providing an opportunity for the students to develop their research ideas in a critical but supportive environment.
The second conference day will take place on January 22, 2014 with presentations and panel discussions involving famous tourism and technology organisations. Keynote speaker on that day will include Mike Short (Telefonica Europe / O2), Des O' Mahony (Bookassist), Dave Pavelko (Google), Aoife Desmond (Facebook), Quentin Moores (DerbySoft) and Adrian Hans (TripAdvisor). Moreover, participants are also invited for the Irish eTourism Day, which will take place in parallel to the other conference day events and will, in particular, emphasise the engagement of the Irish eTourism community through discussions about topics that are of particular interest to the Irish tourism and hospitality industry.
The second conference day will end with a reception in the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin, where participants will experience a magical journey through the storehouse and a celebration in the famous Gravity bar.
The third conference day on January 23, 2014 will continue with a great range of exciting and informing eTourism events, presentations and workshops. Keynote speakers of the this conference day will be Nate Bucholz (Google), Aoife Desmond (Facebook) and Sean O'Connor (Bing). The conference day will end with a fantastic Irish 'Shindig' Party in the Old Jameson Distillery, representing the ultimate way to experience the Irish culture with traditional Irish music and dancing and a delicious 4-course dinner.
The last conference day on Friday, January 24, 2014 will include two industry and innovation sessions, where tourism and technology professionals will discuss important upcoming tourism issues. This last conference day will have a particular focus on eTourism issues in Asia. The conference will conclude with a final panel discussion involving Kevin O'Sullivan (SITA) , Paul Baron (Tourism Victoria) , Ehud Ben-haim (Google), Orla Carroll (Fáilte Ireland) and Zheng Xiang (Virginia Tech) who will discuss important trends and next revolutions in ICT and tourism.
