- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) March 18, 2011 - Cougars from throughout America are invited to compete for the title of Miss Cougar America 2011 at the Third Annual National Cougar Convention, Friday, April 29, 2011, at Greenhouse, a spectacular nightclub at 150 Varick Street, in the SoHo area of New York City. Cubs (younger men) in attendance will decide who wins the contest. Adults of all ages are welcome.
"Age discrimination is perhaps the most pervasive prejudice in American Society," says Rich Gosse, Keynote Speaker at the Convention. "Older women, in particular, are victimized by our youth-obsessed society. They are regarded as 'non-sexy'. Supposedly every American male is only attracted to nubile 20 year olds found in the centerfolds of men's magazines. The truth is that there are millions of American men who find older women attractive, and we will prove it at the National Cougar Convention!"
Rich Gosse is America's foremost authority on finding a romantic partner. He is the author of eight books on this topic, including You CAN Hurry Love, Singles Guide to America, and A Good Man Is EASY to Find ("This is a great book!" Oprah Winfrey). His entertaining advice has been featured by ABC, BBC, CBS, CNN, CNBC, Fox News Live, MSNBC, Oprah, Donahue, Cosmopolitan, Newsweek, Entrepreneur, Business Week, Playboy, Playgirl, The Wall Street Journal, London Times, The Australian, The New Zealand Herald, etc. Mr. Gosse is available to the news media for interviews by calling 415/479-3800. His website is RichGosse.com.
The highpoint of the Convention will be the Miss Cougar America Contest. One cougar at the convention will be awarded the title and prizes, which include a free week at the Hedonism II Resort; and also a free berth on the International Cougar Cruise, December 2-65 2011, courtesy of The Singles Travel Company. The winner will be a woman who is present at the Convention, legally single, available to the news media for interviews, and can prove she is at least 35 years of age.
The Convention begins at 7:30pm with the Keynote Address, "Younger Men/Older Women: The Ideal Combination." Following the keynote, every woman in the room is invited to compete for the title of Miss Cougar America 2011, who will be crowned before 11pm.
The cost to attend the convention is only $20 at the door.
The Convention is co-sponsored by The Society of Single Professionals, the world's largest non-profit singles organization, which sponsors Cougar Events worldwide; and many other organizations.
