Cote D'ivoire's Ministry Of Petroleum & Energy And PETROCI To Host A Regional Meeting In Abidjan
Cote d'Ivoire's Ministry of Petroleum & Energy, PETROCI and International Gas Union will host the CWC Group's 16th Gulf of Guinea Oil & Gas Conference (GOG16) in Abidjan, November 6-8, 2013.
- (1888PressRelease) September 28, 2013 - The Gulf of Guinea Oil & Gas Conference (GOG16) is one of the longest running and most recognised platforms to focus on West Africa's energy sector and confirmed to be inaugurated by the country's Minister of Petroleum & Energy, H.E. Adama Toungara.
Energy ministers from across the region confirmed their participation including H.E. Gabriel Mbega Obiang Lima, Minister of Mines Industry & Energy, Republic of Equatorial Guinea (also president of APPA), H.E. Dr Basile Atangana Kouna, Minister of Energy & Water, Republic of Cameroon and H.E. Fouakoye Gado, Minister of Energy & Petroleum, Republic of Niger among many others.
Gabon will be represented by Milko Binza Moussirou, Gabon Oil Company's Assets Operation Director and Charles Alfred Sockath, Joint Managing Director responsible for Upstream of SNPC (Société Nationale des Pétroles du Congo) will speak for Congo. Representatives for Nigeria, Angola, Ghana and Cameroon are expected to be confirmed in the next few days.
The event is set to bring together more than 300 top executives, decision-makers and leaders in the field from countries around the region and internationally. It provides an unrivalled opportunity to network and participate in a variety of meetings and discussions regarding the industry's future. This year's event will have a special focus on the Gulf of Guinea's hydrocarbons industry and will examine options of gas monetisation, future intra-regional collaborative projects and the role of gas as an economic driver for the region.
