Cosby Show Star and RisingStar31 Launch Holiday e-Cards and Contest; It's 'Poetry In Motion'
Shakespearean actor, Geoffrey Owens, releases a new line of e-Cards embedded with poetry, music and imagery, and launches a poetry contest to echo their holiday message.

The company entered into a partnership with Geoffrey Owens, from The Cosby Show, to produce his new line of e-Cards called, 'Poetry-in-Motion.' Still in production, their "sneak peek" samples went on the market today, featuring Thanksgiving and Christmas messages which deliver entertainment "at command performance." The video-embedded cards present a unique combination of features, as Owens delivers his original sonnets with picturesque settings and lively music.
"It's an unforgettable gift within a card," says Pam Sherrod of RisingStar31. "We're able to recreate the magic of the theater, accompanied by great literature, music, and imagery and wrap it up and send it. Now, wonderful entertainment comes in a card!"
Also launched this week is their 'Poetry in Motion Sonnet Writing Contest' which officially begins on Thanksgiving Eve. Their goal is to showcase the talent of undiscovered 'stars' and offer a platform to inspirational writers. The winning poet receives a $1,000 Prize. The theme is "Holidays Past and Present," and writers are encouraged to brush up on their sonnet-writing skills.
"It's a great way to reflect on the holidays," says Sherrod, "because when you write, amazing things unfold. What was Christmas like, for example, when Shakespeare was alive?"
The contest is open until New Year's Eve, and the winner will be announced by January 31, 2012. Owens, who is a Shakespearean actor, will select the winning poet from a group of ten finalists.
