From a single store started over twenty five years ago in Aspen, Colorado, the company has carved a niche for itself in seven states including Arizona, California, New Mexico, Colorado, Hawaii, Minnesota, and the latest in South Carolina.
Located at 201 King Street, the newest edition to the Cos Bar family opened in October 2010. Store manager Shelby Davis leads a team of knowledgeable beauty consultants at Cos Bar of Charleston and is slowly realizing her dream of turning the store into a one stop destination for locals and tourists alike. The store offers a variety of luxury brands including Cos Bar's latest collection from Le Metier de Beaute, Trish McEvoy, Guerlain and By Kilian. Ms. Davis says, "Our goal is to create a chic, luxurious boutique that offers the very best in beauty and fragrance. Although we are only nine months old the response has been overwhelming, thanks to our discerning clientele in Charleston."
Manager Shelby Davis brings to the store years of experience with top brands in the cosmetic business including Estee Lauder, Chanel Cosmetics, and Kolmar of New York. Along with assistant Andrew Petersen, formerly with Trish McEvoy, the duo is all set to offer Lowcountry's residents and visitors the very best in fragrances and make-up from brands like Sisley, Guerlain, and Kilian. To complement the luxury brands, Cos Bar has recruited the best makeup artists that form an integral part of the team.
Cos Bar owner, Lily Garfield, is equally excited about the positive response to her twelfth store. Ms. Garfield adds, "Cos Bar is committed to offering its customers the highest quality of beauty products. We never indulge in pushing luxury brands just because they may have a name in the business. Every product that we sell is tested personally before we add them to our repertoire." Meanwhile, Ms. Davis is busy expanding her inventory at Cos Bar of Charleston to help customers look their best. Ms. Davis admits to learning the art of makeup through friends and risky experimentation in her early years. However, her experience is something customers can benefit from.
