Monarch will be offering two MasterCard® prepaid cards: a Eurozone card, which customers can load with Euros for use in Europe, and a Worldwide and Discounts card, which customers can load with sterling for conversion into local currency when used anywhere else in the world. Both cards are great value and can be used to withdraw cash from ATMs or to make purchases. The airline will also provide a next day cash delivery service in 20 different currencies, with orders over £500 delivered free the next day.
In addition to offering great value foreign currency compared to bank cards or bureaux de change, the Monarch Worldwide & Discounts card is the first prepaid MasterCard to offer exclusive discounts through membership of the Countdown discount scheme. This scheme offers travellers savings of up to 50% at over 100 big name high street retailers and over 25,000 outlets nationally, meaning customers can get value from their card year round and not just on their travels. The card is loaded with Pounds, and funds converted at a competitive exchange rate at the point of transaction when used overseas.
