(1888PressRelease) November 07, 2013 - Merit Music Group (MMG) launched on November 1st and includes Verb Records, which Brooks and King own, and Poor Mountain Records, which is owned by business venture partner - Jonathan Buckner. Verb Records focuses primarily on Worship, CCM, and AC formats whereas Poor Mountain Records focuses on Bluegrass, Folk, and Country formats.

MMG is the home of Merit Music Publishing, Tornado House Studios, The Tone Room Studio, and Ground Floor Studios. In addition, MMG touts a full list of services for their artists, offering everything from production and engineering to distribution and promotion.

Artists that call Verb Records and Poor Mountain Records home include, Langley, Jonathan Buckner and Chosen Road, Idletymes, Spoken For, Jessica Bolen, Remington Ryde, Kevin Pace and the Early Edition, Corey Brooks Band, and The Dominion Trio. Poor Mountain Records is also the home of the nationally syndicated radio show, The Bluegrass Gospel Hour with John Sentell.

After 11 years in music ministry, Brooks and King are excited about this new venture and the opportunities it will bring to help other artists.
