- Dallas, TX (1888PressRelease) March 13, 2014 - On Wednesday, March, 12, 2014 at 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Claudie Boy will engage in a Twitter/InstaChat discussing his humble beginnings, going pro and his extremely popular mini-doc, "Deeper Thank Boxing." The chat will be hosted by the reigning Miss Texas Plus America, Rachael Yvonne Davis. Created out of the want to motivate and inspire, this chat will give participants the opportunity interact and fall in love with two young superstar activists on the rise.
A rising superstar Boxer, born to a teen, immigrant, mother and raised in Brooklyn, NY by his paternal grandparents, Claudie Boy began his amateur boxing career in 2007. Training his way to the top, Claude has fought in the New York Golden Gloves and has represented New York in the Golden Gloves Nationals. In his poignant mini-documentary, "Deeper than Boxing," he tells it like it was for him growing up in New York in hopes that his story will inspire young people to make better choices and teach them give back to the global community. He tells his story on film, in his own words, on the internet.
He shares facts about his upbringing, broken home, his life on the streets of Brooklyn; brushes with the law, finding the sport of boxing and allowing the discipline of the sport to draw him toward a better, fuller, life. Making his professional debut in 2013, Claude has used his platform to give back to the community through his "Knock out Hunger" campaign. Born out of sheer compassion for humanity, Claude witnessed the despair of L.A.'s infamous Skid Row and immediately wanted to take action. Calling celebrity friends, his personal barber and local businesses to task, Claude, along with his team, spent their own money feeding and clothing the homeless in that area. Boxing allowed him to get out there on the streets in the right way. It's his goal to grow from this sport a fuller and richer life where he can continue to help those in need. That's why his life is "Deeper than Boxing."
