  • (1888PressRelease) October 21, 2020 - Ermatingen, Switzerland - Contentserv, the world's leading Product Experience Platform provider, and Adobe®, the world's leading provider for creativity, multimedia, and digital marketing software products, announced today the Contentserv integration with Adobe Creative Cloud Libraries via Contentserv's new Adobe Creative Cloud Connector. This novel integration enables runtime synchronization of digital assets between Adobe applications and the Contentserv Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution.

Adobe Creative Cloud provides a widely used collection of desktop and mobile apps and services for photography, graphic design, and video editing, such as Photoshop®, XD, InDesign®, and Illustrator®. The Adobe Creative Cloud Libraries API enables creative teams to access central brand elements, images, media data, and Adobe Stock, which includes high-resolution stock assets that can be used across all Adobe applications.
Until now, seamless integration and synchronization between DAM systems and the broad spectrum of Adobe applications via Creative Cloud Libraries were not possible. Syncing processed assets, and their respective versions in line with a central DAM system often involved immense manual effort resulting in digital asset updates that were error-prone and exceedingly difficult to manage. To overcome this challenge, Adobe has now opened its Creative Cloud Libraries via an application programming interface (REST API), allowing external DAM systems to be connected.

"Larger companies often manage their digital media in a professional DAM system. To provide our users with effortless data management, we have launched the Creative Cloud libraries API which allows them to take full advantage of our platform for creativity and improve their content velocity," says Ingo Eichel, Sr. Manager, Creative Cloud Ecosystem Development at Adobe.

Contentserv's Adobe Creative Cloud Connector offers an out-of-the-box integration between Creative Cloud libraries and Contentserv's DAM solution. This integration enables the automatic synchronization of digital assets during runtime. i.e., while a designer is still working on a digital asset in its Adobe application, the modified version will automatically be updated in Contentserv. Therefore, anyone using Adobe applications, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, can change or alter assets and be confident the changes will be reflected in the Contentserv DAM and vice versa.

"Many Contentserv customers use Adobe applications in their creative process to develop marketing materials. Before, we could only offer integration with Adobe InDesign®, and now we cover the entire collection of Creative Cloud apps. With this, we enable creative professionals to carry out all steps up to data storage in their familiar environment. The connector then ensures a seamless transfer of data to our integrated PIM/DAM solution to make it available for all channels - online and offline," explains Alexander Wörl, VP, Business Solutions at Contentserv.

The new Adobe Creative Cloud Connector optimizes the management and maintenance of high-quality digital assets to ensure teams work on and store the correct and most up-to-date version, thus enabling the delivery of accurate digital assets and brand consistency.
