Construction Supervision Works for Disposal Factory for Coal-Fired Power Plants in Russia Completed by SGS
Within the framework of the project by OJSC SUEK and Omega Minerals International Group SGS has completed Construction Supervision works for the construction of a new processing plant for ash and slag residuals from coal-fired power plants located in Belovo, Kemerovo Region in Russia.
- (1888PressRelease) May 05, 2011 - The new processing plant for ash and slag residuals from coal-fired power plants located in Belovo, Kemerovo Region in Russia, commissioned at the end of March 2011, will perform the integrated conversion of the residuals of OJSC SUEK Kuzbassenergo thermal stations into high-quality fine hollow fillers and related products. The products are targeted at consumers in Russia, CIS countries, USA and Asia-Pacific states. The plant has been built from scratch in the industrial area of Belovskaya SDPP. Design capacity of the plant start-up facilities amounts to 10 000 tons of finished products p.a. and may be increased to 18 000 tons p.a. over the next two years.
From August 2010 to February 2011, SGS delivered a range of activities designed at making the project in Belovo, Kemerovo Region, perform according to the schedule in a compliant and cost-effective manner as per the requirements of the SUEK Center for New and Innovative Technologies.
Based on the extensive experience and competence, SGS experts conducted the verification of project documentation and monitored the volume and quality of construction works on site. Moreover, SGS provided the client with electronic reports containing photographs of the construction works status on a weekly basis from both the beginning and the end of the reporting period.
