  • (1888PressRelease) February 09, 2011 - Fort Lauderdale, FL - Stearns, who is a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, met with WWM's founder, Rob Stopanio, to gain insight into the company's new waste packaging and composting technology and watch a demonstration of how the system's machines work.

World Waste Management has designed an environmentally friendly new product: a horse manure packaging and composting system that has over 10 years of design and development behind it. With ground water contamination a major current issue in Florida, this system uses proprietary new technology to take an environmentally harmful substance, reduce it to one quarter of its original size, and then transform it into a harmless composted material that can be used as a soil amendment or as a slow release fertilizer. According to Stopanio, the system kills weed seeds, fly larvae and harmful bacteria.

Stopanio states, "This packaging and composting system is the only technology of its kind, and is a solution for a problem that is prevalent in places that have large populations of people and horses. Prototypes are currently being tested and are receiving positive reviews from customers in potential markets such as horse racing tracks, large horse ranches and farms."

The full manufacturing phase of the company's packaging and composting machines is projected to start in late 2011.
