Conestoga Log Cabins Hits Incredible Historical Milestone
Conestoga Log Cabins & Log Homes, located in Lebanon, PA, is extremely proud to announce that they have now sold log cabins in all 50 states.
- (1888PressRelease) August 11, 2011 - Lebanon, PA - History was made in July 2011 for Conestoga Log Cabins and Homes when a 450 square foot Outdoorsman log cabin kit shipped to a Rhode Island campground.
Conestoga Log Cabins & Log Homes has been able to reach this historic benchmark because of their commitment to producing only the best, most complete log cabin kit in the industry.
The team at Conestoga believes in a simple, yet profoundly powerful philosophy - honesty, dedication and commitment to our customers. This mindset has enabled the company to be the leading log cabin kit producer in the country, as they take woodworking to a whole new level that is unmatched in the industry.
Not only do they now have log cabin kits in all 50 states, they also have log cabins that span the globe with buildings in Europe, Asia, the Caribbean and such remote and exotic locales as Greenland and Morocco. The company also manufactures bunk houses, bathhouses, rental cabins, and commercial log structures.
General Manager, Randy Ketchum said, "Conestoga has sold over 3000 log cabins worldwide. There aren't many log cabin companies with such a successful record. We are very proud of this accomplishment."
When asked to explain their success, Ketchum said: "Conestoga Log Cabins and Homes manufactures the most complete log cabin kit in the industry. We specialize in log cabins and log homes under 2000 square feet and our engineered laminated logs are very consistent, resulting in simple builds and low maintenance."
"We attribute our success to our customers, which are as diverse as our products. I think this is one of the reasons we have been successful in placing our log cabins in all 50 states" said Ketchum.
To simplify the manufacturing process, Conestoga uses a computer program that will design the home virtually before a single log is milled. Once these "virtual plans" are created and approved, they are sent to a 190-foot custom computerized manufacturing line. This equipment, built specifically for Conestoga, has seven different stations that cut, notch and drill each log to exacting specifications. "It`s a very exact process. Each log will be produced to a tolerance of +/- 1/16 of an inch. In the log world, that is very close tolerance," National Sales Manager John Brown said.
John Brown sums it up best, "We are very proud of what we do and the fact that we can do it quickly and efficiently and give you what you want and you don't have to spend a ton of money to get this fantastic custom home."
