Rochester, NY (1888PressRelease) June 11, 2014 - As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting organizations and programs that benefit charitable organizations and those in need, ComTec Solutions is proud to continue to deliver meals to ill, elderly, and homebound individuals in the Gates area.

Through the Meals on Wheels Program, sponsored by Visiting Nurses Services, ComTec staff members provide delivery services every other Wednesday.

"We are happy to participate in the Meals on Wheels Program," said Rob Moyer, President of ComTec Solutions. "This is our way of giving back to the Gates Community, where ComTec is headquartered."

Meals on Wheels was founded to encourage independence for elderly individuals. Volunteers, like ComTec staff members, visit with the supported individuals and make sure they are well.

ComTec is involved with other organizations including United Way, Boy Scouts of America, and regional food cupboards. Its charitable efforts were recognized in 2013 when the company was nominated for an Ethie Award, an award given by the Rochester Area Business Ethics Foundation that recognizes organizations for doing the right thing.
