Computer Solutions East Successfully Runs Its Campaign On XP End Of Life Support
After providing 12 years support for Windows XP operating system, Microsoft decided that they will end its technical support and security updates on April 8, 2014.
- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) May 02, 2014 - Since the day they announced about the end-of-life of XP, many industries, from small & medium enterprise to large scale business focused on maintaining and upgrading their IT infrastructure. There are still many business or individual systems running on Windows XP and it's very important for them to move to a more reliable operating system like Windows 8.1.
Not only Windows 8.1 is significantly more secured than Windows XP, it also makes it a lot easier to perform all the tasks that people used to do with Windows XP while opening up a whole new set of possibilities for them to explore and enjoy.
Computer Solutions East identified the need of potential niche market as a new business possibilities. We understand business owners' difficulty to find the right IT infrastructure solution for their business. We utilized this business opportunity and started alerting all our existing customers who were running into Windows XP.
When any customer decides to go for Windows 8.1, additional investments are absolutely necessary. It all starts with the license and ends with the hardware itself, as the existing XP machine cannot cope with the system requirements of Windows 8.1. It's also important to understand the risk that you and your business has to take if you remain in Windows XP:
"Many newer apps won't run on Windows XP; new hardware may not support Windows XP; and without critical security updates, PCs may become vulnerable to harmful viruses, spyware and other malicious software that can steal or damage personal information and business data".
Computer Solutions East has successfully launched an email campaign to more than 1400 existing customers and other business prospect. We notified them with the final call to move from Windows XP to Windows 8.1 with clear information on improved features and stability they would get with Windows 8.1. The campaign has becoming successful day by day with more positive response from the customers. We are continuously helping them to move from Windows XP to Windows 8.1 with additional hardware support.
Allen Hamaoui, CEO at Computer Solutions East said, "There is a huge market which is untouched and still operating on Windows XP. We are positively looking to those opportunities where we can help business to benefit with the latest technology and to make sure that their business runs on a more secured and reliable IT platform."
