Computaris Delivers LBR Solution Featuring 50% Faster Provisioning Response Time To a Major US Operator

- (1888PressRelease) December 05, 2012 - Being developed 100% by Computaris team, as part of an outsourcing engagement, the solution was specifically developed to address the significant delays in subscriber provisioning that the Operator was facing during the LTE service introduction process.
A new component in the provisioning flow, LBR serves as a gateway between the provisioning server and the subscriber database server. The main purpose of LBR is to introduce parallelism in the execution of the LDAP requests in the same provisioning transaction, in order to reduce the waiting time caused by network latency and to increase the overall number of transactions per second (TPS) at subscriber provisioning.
The Computaris team managed all the phases of the LBR project, from the design of the solution architecture to the telecom software development and implementation stages, including performance testing in real-life traffic testing scenarios. One of the most significant benefits of the LBR solution is that it has reduced the response time for provisioning with up to 50% - as an example, the time saved at the creation of a basic LTE subscriber is of about 1.5 seconds. LBR also provides client and server overload handling, load control for the subscriber database, failure handling mechanisms and performance management.
