  • (1888PressRelease) March 06, 2012 - LOS ANGELES - Award-winning TV and Film composers Marc Fantini, Steffan Fantini and Scott Gordon return for their sixth season scoring Lifetime's most successful series Army Wives. Set in a fictional army post in North Charleston, South Carolina, the drama series follows the tumultuous lives of four army wives, their families and one husband whose wife is in the army. Army Wives premiered on Sunday, March 4, 2012 as a two hour special event.

Composers Steffan Fantini, Marc Fantini and Scott Gordon weekly create an organic, raw, acoustically-driven score. Guitars, piano, ukuleles and even a charango [a South American string instrument] are uniquely incorporated into the musical landscape of the show. "Knowing that our music is often the unseen character, we strive to create a distinct and original musical identity for each episode," says Steffan Fantini. "Musically it is a rewarding show," Scott Gordon explains. "We are able to explore a variety of musical elements to embody the ups and downs of life on an army base."

The composing trio combine their artistic backgrounds to create a distinct and original musical identity for each project. Marc and Steffan began their careers as recording artists and producers. At age 12, Marc played lead guitar solos on New Kids on the Block albums, and produced music with Steffan for several hit artists, later transitioning into film and TV scoring. Meanwhile, Scott Gordon began as a leading engineer and mixer for many iconic musicians including Alanis Morissette, The Eagles and Aerosmith. Gordon met the Fantini brothers at a Ringo Starr recording session, which sparked their collaborative relationship. The Fantini/Gordon musical palette spans numerous genres from classical to pop, rock to jazz, and alternative to hip hop.

Additionally, Marc Fantini, Steffan Fantini and Scott Gordon write a popular weekly Criminal Minds blog describing the original music and instrumental themes they create for each episode. They have been working with the hit drama series for all seven seasons. Their film credits include Mercy Streets, The Wager as well as additional music for the films Training Day, Shooter and Hurricane Season. Presently, they are scoring the film The Lost Medallion: The Adventures of Billy Stone. The trio's accolades include several ASCAP awards for TV Music including Army Wives and The Hollywood Music in Media Award for Best Dramatic TV Score, Criminal Minds.
