- (1888PressRelease) March 06, 2012 - Los Angeles, CA - Composer Michael Wandmacher returns to score the second season of Fox's hit TV series Breaking In. Produced by Adam F. Goldberg (Horrible Bosses) and Adam Sandler, the comedy stars Christian Slater (The River Murders), Bret Harrison (Orange County) and Alphonso McAuley (Glory Road). The new season premieres March 6 at 9:30/8:30 PM (CST). Wandmacher, best known for thrillers including My Bloody Valentine has now garnered success in comedy with projects including the upcoming film, Bacherlorette and Breaking In.
Breaking In follows an eclectic team of computer geniuses who work at a high tech security firm taking extreme, and often questionable, measures to break into computer systems. Composer Michael Wandmacher provides both an original weekly score and theme song for the series. Wandmacher composed and performed "We Got Your Back" with lyrics by Adam F. Goldberg and Doug Robinson.
Wandmacher's score delivers an orchestral approach with electronic undertones. With a background in sound design and engineering, the composer incorporates new and unusual sounds into his composing. Wandmacher describes the television scoring process, "Television requires a faster turnaround time to deliver the music compared to film and video games. It can be exciting and challenging."
Michael Wandmacher has built a strong reputation for writing original music for all visual mediums: film, TV and video games. His recent film credits include the Sundance hit Bachelorette (commercial release June), The Killing Floor and Train. Other film credits include Never Back Down, Freakonomics and Ana's Playground. Michael Wandmacher is the only composer to have scored three 3D films: Piranha, My Bloody Valentine and Drive Angry. He recently scored the eighth installment of Playstation's longest running video game franchise Twisted Metal. Other video game credits include Over the Hedge and Madagascar. Wandmacher wrote and mixed music for Grammy winner Kelly Clarkson's film debut From Justin to Kelly. His upcoming films include Voice from the Stone and The Haunting in Georgia. Additionally, Michael Wandmacher wrote and produced songs for the EP release of electronica artist Khursor, featuring Israeli singer and supermodel Sarai Givaty.
