  • Newark, NJ (1888PressRelease) May 08, 2019 - Tina Hansen, Director of Behavioral Services, Community Access Unlimited (CAU), was featured on Jersey Central 1450 AM Talk Radio where she, along with Host Bert Baron, discussed the significance of recognizing individuals with developmental disabilities during National Autism Awareness Month.

Tina stated, “National Autism Awareness month is so important to recognize because it really puts a spotlight on the continuum that is an autism spectrum disorder diagnosis. Individuals with this diagnosis are clever, funny, passionate, wonderful people who deserve to be celebrated. This month also provides a highlight of the real-life struggles and misconceptions that those with ASD and their families face every day. And with such high rates of autism, especially in New Jersey, awareness, acceptance, and funding are so important.
