CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union installs ATM at new Alexandria Police Headquarters
CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union announces the installation of a new ATM, located in the main lobby of the brand new Alexandria Police Headquarters at 3600 Wheeler Avenue. The new ATM is expected to serve CommonWealth One members as well as the general public at the new facility.
- Washington, DC-MD-VA-WV (1888PressRelease) October 13, 2011 - CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union announces the installation of a new ATM, located in the main lobby of the brand new Alexandria Police Headquarters at 3600 Wheeler Avenue. This 119,000 square foot facility will accommodate all Alexandria Police Department operations and staff, consolidating the satellite offices the police were using around the city. The site will be open 24 hours a day. It will house 560 full-time employees and should have at least 100 visitors per day. The Alexandria Police Staff will be moving into the new site through October 17th, with a formal opening scheduled for Wednesday, November 9th.
On September 29th, Vice President Joe Biden visited the Alexandria Police Department, delivering remarks on how the American Jobs Act would help keep police officers and first responders on the beat in northern Virginia and across the country. Alexandria is just one of thousands of communities where the police force has been impacted by major budget cutbacks. It was announced on Wednesday, October 5th, that the Alexandria Police Department was awarded an $800,000 Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) grant.
