Omniac Education has launched a program, Commit 2 College, that offers Arizona and New Mexico students a chance to win a free iPod Touch. The program is free and kids may register by visiting www.commit2college.com or calling (888) 460-8109.
Albuquerque, NM (1888PressRelease) July 08, 2008 - Omniac Education is pleased to announce the launch of its "Commit 2 College" initiative, a program designed to motivate high school students to take advantage of the summer months in preparing for the college admissions process. Commit 2 College, which can be accessed online at http://www.commit2college.com, encourages students to improve their college applications by going beyond traditional summer activities like community service and light essay writing by offering a chance to win prizes as an incentive for completing basic college preparedness exercises.
"We know how hard it is for kids to decide to work on their college applications over the summer," said Mark Truman, founder of Omniac Education and lead College Consultant. "Students have a lot of different concerns in the months of July and August and we hope that Commit 2 College makes college admissions a slightly higher priority for them by offering the chance to win some neat prizes."
The prizes for the contest include: An 8 GB iPod Touch ($299 value), a $100 iTunes Gift Card, and a $50 iTunes Gift Card. In order to be entered in the contest, students will need to complete a practice ACT or SAT exam, fill out a college information questionnaire, and meet with one of Omniac's college consultants to learn more about the college admissions process. The contest begins today (July 7, 2008) and runs through August 31, 2008. Winners of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be announced on September 1st, 2008. No purchase is necessary to win.
The Commit 2 College contest is open to any enrolled high school student from Arizona or New Mexico belonging to the class of 2009 or 2010 (you need to be entering this fall as a junior or senior). Students who want to register for the free program should visit http://www.commit2college.com and fill out the online entry form. Omniac Education staff will contact them shortly after their submission to arrange for a free practice test and consultation. Students may also enter by contacting Omniac Education (toll-free) at 888- 460-8109.
"We are so excited to offer this opportunity to students," stated Joel Lee, Omniac Education's Director of Marketing. "It's not often that kids can enter to win an iPod Touch simply by doing activities that will help them with college!"
