ComForcare Buffalo Grove provides home care services for man afflicted with dementia following the passing of his wife.

The client's wife passed away just recently, and his family had no idea how severe his memory loss was until after her death.

Following the passing of their mother, the family realized how much care their father required. In addition to dealing with the challenges of dementia, the man was grieving the loss of his wife while attempting to make up for what she had been doing for him on a daily basis, and was overwhelmed. The family turned to ComForcare to help their father during this difficult period in his life.
In addition to needing daily assistance with household tasks, the man was also unable to renew his driver's license, limiting his mobility. ComForcare helped him maintain his independence at home by offering transportation services to places like the store, bank, and senior center. A certified nursing assistant also visited the man's home to provide assistance with housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation and provided companionship, helping the man deal with the grieving process of losing his wife.
