Colors of Rajasthan Exhibition inaugurated by Mr.Mohammad Mahmood Ali, Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana, today at Kalinga Exhibition

Rajasthan State Handloom Development Corporation (RHDC), Govt of Rajasthan with support from Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Govt of India and in association with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is organizing Colors of Rajasthan - an exclusive exhibition of handloom products from Rajasthan from 21st - 25th September 2016 at Kalinga Hall, Hyderabad. (1888PressRelease) September 22, 2016 - Hyderabad : Mr.Mohammad Mahmood Ali, Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana was the Chief Guest for the programme and inaugurated the exhibition today. Ms Shuchi Sharma (IAS), Managing Director, RHDC was the Guest of Honour during the inauguration ceremony.

Mr Devendra Surana, Chairman, FICCI - Telangana State Council; Smt Padma Rajgopal , Chairperson , FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) Hyderabad Chapter; Mr Nayab Khan, Chief General Manager, RHDC and Mr Akhilesh Mahurkar, Head , FICCI - Telangana State Council were also present on the occasion.

Mr.Mohammad Mahmood Ali took a keen interest and admired the craftsmanship in the products displayed and commended the efforts by RHDC and FICCI to provide a marketing platform like "Colors of Rajasthan" to the artisans.

Ms Shuchi Sharma informed that more than 30 artisans from Rajasthan are exhibiting their unique products which include Kota Doria, Zari Sarees, Zari Dupattas, Dyed Yawn Dress Material, Self Designed Dress Materials, Jewelry & Lac items, Bandhej, Mojri, Cotton Razai, Cotton Khes, Designer Bed Covers and Sanganeri, Bagru and Barmari prints.

Mr.Nayab Khan, Chief General Manager, RHDC along with Naresh Joshi, Assistant Director,FICCI, Rajasthan shared that artisans in Rajasthan are producing a wide range of products based on diversified culture, traditions and heritage and explained how RHDC is helping the artisans by providing them access to capital, technology and markets.

The five day exhibition would provide an opportunity to the artisans to interact with organized buyers, retailers, designers and public at large enabling them to find newer avenues of marketing and product development.
