- Charleston-North Charleston, SC (1888PressRelease) September 28, 2010 - Anita King, President of CREW Charleston and Owner/Lead Architect of Ink Architecture, announced today that the first CREW Charleston Mentoring Event on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 was a big success. At the event, real estate professionals tutored College of Charleston business and real estate students on the ins and outs of the business.
The room consisted of six tables that highlighted a different industry within real estate, such as brokerage and accounting. At each of the tables there was a mentor that taught and focused on the different subjects. The students rotated between all six tables and learned all about the real estate industry. Over 40 students attended the event.
"Being a professional in real estate, I feel that it is very important to prepare and mentor students as they begin their careers," said King. "I know how important it is to be prepared and knowledgeable in this business, so I am glad that we can do this for our local students." She added, "The students were all extremely inquisitive and everyone interacted to make this an informative and great event. We hope to do it again soon!"
