Coherent UI brings the power of HTML5 to game developers
The HTML5 based game UI middleware Coherent UI has a new release for desktop platforms. Adds support for Mac OS X and performance improvements.
- (1888PressRelease) April 02, 2013 - Coherent Labs has just released version 1.1.5 of its leading game User Interface middleware Coherent UI. The new release adds official support for Mac OS X to the existing Windows and Linux platforms and also includes performance improvements and many new features.
Developers integrating Coherent UI in their projects can take advantage of latest web technologies to create beautiful and interactive game user interfaces. HTML5 and JavaScript, hundreds reusable libraries and powerful tools not only save time, but give more creative freedom to the teams.
Using Coherent UI enables developers to take advantage of features like an in-game browser and easily integrate their games with social sites as Facebook, Twitter, or Google+. The creation of an in-game micro-transaction shop or a chat room becomes much easier as well.
"Building the UI of a game should be as easy as making web pages", said George Petrov, the CEO of Coherent Labs. "We are happy that with Coherent UI we allow game developers to take advantage of HTML5 functionalities inside their engines".
Coherent UI comes in two packages. One is for game developers using C++ and .NET/Mono on Windows, Linux, or Mac OS X. The other package is for those using Unity3D engine. Both packages support 32 and 64 bit versions.
Developers are welcome to request a trial or buy the full version from the Coherent Labs website. Coherent UI will be available soon at the Unity Asset Store too.
