Coalfire Public Sector Completes FedRAMP Audit for Huddle Cloud
Huddle Cloud receives USAID FedRAMP Agency ATO.
- Denver, CO (1888PressRelease) March 27, 2015 - Coalfire, a leading global provider of cyber risk management and compliance solutions, announces that it completed the independent assessment of the Huddle Cloud under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) and that Huddle was granted an authority to operate (ATO) from the USAID Chief Information Officer.
Acting as the third party assessment organization (3PAO) for Huddle, Coalfire validated that the SaaS provided by Huddle met the requirements outlined by FedRAMP's security requirements. Now the U.S. federal government can leverage the Huddle Cloud to facilitate secure collaboration on document content beyond just file sharing.
"Achieving the FedRAMP authorization for Huddle and being the first to do so in our market gives our customers confidence in the high security of our platform. It complements similar accreditations we have achieved in the U.K. government and reaffirms our leadership in content collaboration for governments and enterprise in the cloud" said Morten Brogger, CEO, Huddle. "Coalfire's federal experience across multiple cloud service models was a great asset to the Huddle team in achieving the FedRAMP ATO."
The FedRAMP process was established to ensure that the government's cloud service providers were properly secured and tested. "The assessment ensured all FedRAMP requirements were met for government acceptance," says Nick Son, managing director, technology advisory & assessment services for Coalfire Public Sector.
Cloud service providers preparing for the FedRAMP process with another 3PAO or considering FedRAMP should contact Coalfire to provide an independent review of their readiness or progress towards FedRAMP.
