Canada Metabolic Inflammation Diagnostics Inc. (CMID INC.) earned another accreditation based on the biannual on-site inspection. The on-site inspection team included practicing pathology and laboratory medicine professional.
- (1888PressRelease) March 15, 2022 - Toronto, Ontario-Canada. – Following a visit by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), Canada Metabolic Inflammation Diagnostics Inc. (CMID INC.) earned another accreditation based on the biannual on-site inspection. The on-site inspection team included practicing pathology and laboratory medicine professional.
“The CAP’s Laboratory Accreditation Program is widely recognized as the gold standard in lab accreditation,” said Dr. Rafik Ragheb, PhD, CEO and laboratory Director/clinical scientist. “I’m proud of the teamwork shown by the lab to achieve this accreditation.”
The United States Federal Government recognizes the CAP Laboratory Accreditation Program, which started in the early 1960s, as being equal-to or more-stringent-than the government’s own inspection program.
CMID Inc. Laboratory is one of more than 8,000 CAP-accredited facilities worldwide.
During the CAP accreditation process, designed to ensure the highest standard of care for all laboratory patients, inspectors examine the laboratory’s records and quality control of procedures for the preceding two years. CAP inspectors also examine laboratory staff qualifications, equipment, facilities, safety program and record, and overall management.
