Cloudsoft Appoints Adrian Cole as Chief Evangelist

In this newly created role, Cole will continue to champion jclouds as well as working with Cloudsoft, its clients and the broader open source community to cultivate and define best practices for next generation cloud platforms.
With almost two decades in IT services, Cole is a distinguished advocate of provisioning open, integrated IT architectures. Founder of the jclouds project, an open source library that helps developers get started in the cloud with portable APIs and tools supporting over 30 providers worldwide, Cole frequently engages financial services, hosting and ISP stakeholders to bolster the design and implementation of sophisticated virtualization, automation and cloud strategies. Recently, Cole has contributed to vCloud ecosystem engineering at VMware, Java integration at Opscode and is now helping to refine cloud portability strategies at Cloudsoft.
