Clonlara School And New Point Learning Center Sponsor The 2012 Winter Writing Contest
Clonlara School and New Point Learning Center sponsor a writing contest for 7th-12th graders. Valuable prize packages will be awarded.
- Ann Arbor, MI (1888PressRelease) January 14, 2012 - Clonlara School and New Point Learning Center have joined together to sponsor a Winter Writing Contest for 7th-12th graders. This contest offers students the unique opportunity to win valuable prize packages in several writing categories such as: creative writing, research writing, poetry, and ACT response essay. Seven prize packages will be awarded, each including gift certificates and a savings bond. The contest will run through Friday, February 17, 2012.
In addition to the contest, New Point Learning Center and Clonlara School are also offering a free writing workshop on Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 10am until noon. There will be experienced teachers and tutors available for drop-in writing sessions at New Point Learning Center. Students can bring their contest essay or other written work to receive instruction and valuable feedback on their writing. If your student needs homework help, essay input, help with topic generation, grammar or mechanics help - this is the workshop for you! Each student who attends the workshop will also be awarded a writing tools package for use outside of the center. This is an excellent way to experience all the wonderful services New Point Learning Center has to offer. Participation in the contest is not necessary to participate in the workshop.
