Clewis Financial to focus on commodities sector
Clewis Financial today announced that they will be significantly investing in commodities for the remainder of this calendar year.
- (1888PressRelease) September 24, 2015 - Clewis Financial will now focus on Clewis Financial's core competencies of precious metals and minerals.
Clewis Financial's Global Head of Natural Resources, Mr. Mauricio da Cunha Ferrer commented on the new business strategy saying "This decision will result in Clewis Financial dedicating more trading desks for energy, agriculture, base metals and dry bulk."
Clewis Financial has established a special commodities group which will manage the day to day operations of the department. The financial derivatives and precious metals businesses will be integrated into Clewis Financial's Fixed Income and Currencies platform to take advantage of existing synergies available at Clewis Financial.
Clewis Financial's Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Michael Chan added "As part of Strategy 2015 and beyond, we are actively managing and reviewing our business portfolio. The decision to refocus our commodities business is based on our identification of more attractive ways to deploy our capital and resources."
