Cleveland SEO Firm Search Circus Awards College Scholarships To Olmsted Falls High School Seniors
Search Circus, a local Cleveland SEO firm, award 2 college scholarships to graduating seniors at Olmsted Falls High School.
- (1888PressRelease) July 07, 2010 - Cleveland, Ohio-Search Circus, Inc. -- Wendy Suto, President and CEO of Search Circus, a Cleveland Ohio SEO firm, awarded scholarships to two graduating seniors at Olmsted Falls High School on June 2, 2010. Wendy Suto is a 1997 graduate of Olmsted Falls and also was the recipient of several awards and scholarships in her senior year.
Two scholarships were presented at the June 2 morning ceremony, which was held in the school's auditorium. Amanda Wachowiak was awarded $500 and Alexandra Charavell received $200. Wachowiak has been accepted to Otterbein College in Columbus, and has plans to pursue a degree in creative writing and journalism. Amanda worked on the school's literary magazine, participated in Girl Scouts throughout elementary and high school, which included several service projects and a visit to Costa Rica. Charavell has been accepted to Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, and plans to study journalism. Alexandra or Allie as her teachers and classmates call her, worked at Tubthumper's Music and volunteered at the Rocky River Nature Reservation educating visitors and making maple syrup. She has been active in both music and dance, which has provided opportunities to travel throughout high school. Both candidates were selected for their volunteer activities in the community, academic accomplishments and choice of majors in a writing related field in college.
"I believe there is a strong and direct correlation between writing related careers, like a creative writer or a journalist and becoming a search engine optimization specialist," Ms. Suto said. "As such, it gives me great pleasure giving our scholarships to my alma mater each year for those students who have a strong passion for writing, just as I do, and hopefully, educate them in the field of SEO and Web writing at the same time as a viable option after college."
Ms. Suto was also very active with the high school newspaper, yearbook, art and design classes when she attended Olmsted Falls. Suto also was an honor student and maintained a part time job working at area newspapers like The Cleveland Plain Dealer and The Sun News throughout her four years of high school. Suto says that it's commendable to see young adults give back to their community, maintain a job and still earn top grades while in high school. "Teenagers are more apt to be ready for college when they can hold a job and still maintain good grades in high school. As an employer and a parent, I admire such accomplishments from young people."
Olmsted Falls High School awarded over $113,000 in local scholarships this year, and most of the scholarships were presented by local business owners, family members or previous Olmsted Falls graduates. This is the second year that the Cleveland SEO Search Circus firm awarded scholarships to dedicated and deserving students. Ms. Suto said she will continue awarding scholarships in the future as long as students meet the criteria.
