CLEAN WATER CHANGES LIVES - Truu Salon joins global Hair Cut-a-Thon to raise money for clean water
On April 22, 2013 from 12:00pm to 6:00pm Truu Salon will be participating in a global Hair Cut-a-Thon to raise money for The Everglades Foundation.

In 2013 the botanical beauty brand is committed to raising $5 million for clean water and Hollywood's very own Truu Salon is stepping up to support the effort alongside thousands of other Aveda locations around the world.
Truu Salon has set a fundraising goal of $1500 and will host events throughout April. Most notably, Truu Salon will participate in a global 24-hour cut-a-thon on Earth Day, April 22. Aveda stylists in salons worldwide - from Tokyo, to Sydney, Moscow, London, New York and Minneapolis - will volunteer their time to offer haircuts in return for a donation to Earth Month, a simple and beautiful way for their guests to actively care for the environment.
In addition to raising money for clean water, Aveda salons will jointly attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the most money raised for a charity by haircuts in a 24-hour period.
Aveda professionals in more than 30 countries have collectively raised more than $26 million for in support of Earth Month since the campaign's inception in 1999. Beginning in 2007, Aveda has donated Earth Month proceeds to organizations working to combat the clean water crisis - to date more than $20 million have been directed to support hundreds of clean water projects on six continents. Funds raised by Truu Salon will benefit The Everglades Foundation - a local charity that is dedicated to protecting and restoring America's Everglades.
