Clean Energy Advisors adds Jack Tyrrell to fill Advisory Board Position
CEA Announces Jack Tyrrell as their newest Advisory Board Member.
- (1888PressRelease) November 18, 2015 - Orlando, FL. - Clean Energy Advisors is proud to welcome Jack Tyrrell as the newest addition to their Advisory Board. Jack Tyrrell joins Clean Energy Advisors with over 30 years' experience in managing financial firms.
He founded the Prudential-Bache Health Care Group in 1982 and served as its president until founding Lawrence, Tyrrell, Ortale & Smith. The Prudential-Bache Health Care Group, a specialty investment banking unit, was a significant of capital for the health care industry, including venture capital financings, private placements and public offerings.
Lawrence, Tyrrell, Ortale & Smith raised $114 million in two venture capital funds during the Eighties and invested primarily in health care and software companies. Mr. Tyrrell was a general partner of the Lawrence, Tyrrell, Ortale & Smith funds.
Richland Ventures, of which Mr. Tyrrell was managing partner, raised three venture capital funds totaling approximately $350 million in the Nineties. The investments in those funds were predominately made in health care, information systems and Internet related companies. Some of the companies Mr. Tyrrell was a lead investor in and director of include Oxford Health Plans, Regal Cinemas, Medaphis, Symbion, ActaMed (WebMD), Appriss and U.S. Healthworks.
Mr. Tyrrell now invests for his family office fund, JRS Partners, in a variety of startup and early stage companies. Mr. Tyrrell is a director of Regal Cinemas, Cicayda LLC, Besito LLC and Ampersand Health. He has a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee and an M.B.A degree from Harvard University. Mr. Tyrrell resides in Nashville, Tennessee.
